My dodge truck had transmission issues contacted John and he was able to get it right in quickly . The truck had a warranty on it and John was my advocate and dealt with warranty company for me. After bickering back and forth he was able to negotiate the full cost of repairs leaving me with just a $100 deductible . The job was down fairly quick considering waiting for parts,check from warranty company etc. Hopefully I will never need transmission work on any vehicle I own but if I do , I will definitely go see John at A-1 . I highly recommend you do the same.

I don't have to tell you that a transmission repair is probably one of the most expensive repair we sometimes have to make. For an expense could potentially exceed $3,000 you really have to do your homework to make sure you select the right repair shop. I researched and interviewed 10 Transmission repair shops before eventually selecting A-1 Transmission. My selection criteria included: Customer reviews, Warranty - both miles and months, who does the work - employees or owner who offers the warranty, Customer Care skills and how did they make me feel after I met with them. A - 1 owner "John" satisfied all of these requirements for me. Two days after taking my truck to the shop, John called and asked me to come over to his shop. When I arrived, my transmission was completely disassembled on on the table. John was able to show the exact problems and and asked me to feel and rub area that had malfunction and inappropriate wear. Two days later I picked up my 04 F - 150 truck on the day promised. I thought I would wait a while before posting my review. A month has passed and I have driven to Austin, TX twice. I'm now satisfied that the repair was successful and I'm very happy with the results. I'm also happy that I have a 24,000 miles and 24 month warranty. I highly recommend A-1. The service and customer experience exceeded my expectations. Thank you John for all you did and for how well you did it!

Although the initial estimate was upsetting, since we just bought the car with only 55k miles. John invited me down to the shop after he got it all apart and took the time to explain to me what the issues were and what need to be done. Afterward he and I both agreed that cutting corners only leads to more trouble down the road. He assured me that only quality parts and the proper fluids would go back into the transmission. Basically he treated our car as if it was his own. I know many people worry about getting burned, but I am grateful that I found A1 before I got burned.

I think I found a shop I can finally refer my friends and family too when it comes to repairs on their cars. The owner, John, was very professional. I asked questions and he answered all of them . I also like the one on one with the mechanic, who will do the actual work on my vechicle. I had a transmission problem and John made sure it was fixed. He road tested my car until he was sure there was not any more problems. If you want an honest person and a fair price with new parts, John is your man at A-1 Transmission Specialists.

John at A-1 transmissions did a great job on rebuilding the transmission in my 4x4 truck. I have put several thousand miles on it and have had no issues. You also get great service when you chose this shop, my truck was towed to his shop, the rear breaks were repaired and the A/C was charged at no extra charge to me. If you are having any issues with you vehicle, I recommend you take your vehicle over to A-1 transmission on Fry Road.

My local mechanic referred my to this shop because my 98 chevy blazer was slipping at 30 mph . i spoke with John the owner, he didnt make me feel like some stupid customer which it liked about the man, he also showed me his certifications from dealership school he attended which made me feel more comfortable, anyways the next day he showed me the problem and repaired my truck at a better price compared to what the dealership that told me $2800.00. i have never had a transmission problem, so i really tried to research shops to make sure that my truck went to an experienced shop. I called my regular mechanic and he recommended A1, he has actually used them in the past so i took my truck and it was repaired faster than expected. The shop owner, John is very experienced and makes sure the problem is fixed right the First Time.

this shop was recommended by a co-worker of mine, so glad i took his advice. got my car repaired in a reasonable time frame and a really good price. the owner who also does the rebuilding really knows his stuff about transmissions. will definetly use this shop again if i have any other vehicles with transmission problems

I had been looking for a shop to bring my 03 dodge that had no reverse. I brought my 2002 Honda accord to this shop for a problem that i was experiencing. Previously i went to several other shops that were telling me my tranmission is needing replacing.
