Wow!! Where do I begin? I will say this. Olivia is very professional but there was 1 African girl who braided my hair so extremely tight it took all my hair out. I have a huge ball spot at the top and side of my hair. Also the girl braided my hair in some weird pattern and it took my new beautician about 3to4 hours to get these braids out. I will NOT ever go back and I recommend anyone who wants to keep their hair to actually find else where to go. I felt like the girl did this on purpose. She had a very bad attitude and a EVIL SPIRIT! Please BEWARE!!!

I have been going to Olivia's shop for about six years me and my family and friends and have never had a problem they are very polite and nice people and my wait time is never long and if there is a problem with anything she doesn't mind fixing she is very fast and neat when she do my hair all of them up there r my girl's I give them Five Star's. I've been going to Olivia's hair braiding for many many years and she nor her staff has ever failed me! Olivia is the best braider in KC hands down! I travel from south of Stateline Rd to her shop on 39th street and it's worth it!! I will continue to visit her for many more years and tell everyone to check them out!!

I had a good experience at Olivia's. The shop I visited, off 39th and Main, was clean. Olivia is a very kind and professional woman. Yeah, it's awkward being amongst a room full of woman speaking in their native tounge, however it's nothing I couldn't overlook. The woman there return respect when given AND are probably some of the best Braiders in the area. I'm pleased and will be back for some box braids. Another great thing is that MY EDGES ARE GOOD!!!

VERY DIRTY NASTY SHOP. I WAITED AN HR AND A HALF AFTER MY APPOINTMENT! THEY DID NOT BRAID MY HAIR PROPERLY SO I GET NO REFUND AND I WAS TOLD TO COME BACK TOMORROW AFTER I SAT THERE TODAY FOR 8 HRS. THEY ARE RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL TO THEIR CLIENTS AND THE SHOP IS A RAT HOLE! SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE ������������

I never write reviews, but I had to. My 13yr old wanted twist braids so we called this shop. The receptionist was nice so we made an appointment. She told me it would cost $160 with hair. We showed up today and Fatima was going to start my daughter hair but when she saw that her hair was thick (not nappy) she begin to argue with the Salon Owner Olivia in their language, complaining she was not going to do it-too thick. Great way to start the morning after traveling 1hr. This went on for about 40 minutes. Finally the owner stepped up and braided my daughter's hair. About 1hr into braiding the owner Olivia asked me to go get tissue for the bathroom which I found to be beyond ghetto. One lady was eating a roll and braiding micros with the same hand. She used her a water bottle she drunk from to wet the micro hair. I swear after seeing that I wanted to leave, but she was already 3 hours in (80% complete). Once service was done, Olivia did explain the other lady didn't want to braid my daughter hair because it was thick and not of a 13yr old. Kind of a strange comment. She charged me $180 plus the toilet tissue. The braids were nice and neat. I feel this place to be hard up for money because they went up on other people getting their hair done too. This place is trash. You can find better.

My 1st time goin to olivias was about 10yrs ago and I had to wait an hr before my head was touched. I waited 10mins before anyone even spoke to me! And I had an appt! I had forgotten about the experience and went back. The ldies complained about my hair the whole time and was talking down on black women! One woman said they (american women) better be glad they have the. Money or else I wouldn't touch their heads! I would've gotten up and walked out but I was there for 13hrs already. The price changed 3 times while I was in the chair. They are rude, prejudice and unprofessional. I wouldn't get my hair done there if they paid me!!

Olivias salon is the dirtiest most unprofessional salon I've ever been to they don't value there clients and the girl who did my hair didn't even work there she just happened to come see her sister and they asked her to braid my hair this place is too damn GHETTO I swear to god its not worth it yall go to isha sisters
