      A local favorite of mine

      Hotel Phillips was so beautiful. The service and amenities are just fabulous. I will always stay at this gorgeous Hotel every time I visit Kansas City, MO.It is worth the money. Enjoy your Stay!!!!K.N.Omaha, NE

      An Art Deco masterpiece in the heart of downtown, the Hotel Phillips is a popular choice with guests who appreciate the charm and character of a grand and historic hotel. The hotel's address was once occupied by a haberdashery operated by President Harry S. Truman and his brother. Today, the hotel's top floor suite is named in his honor. Built in the 1930's, this 20-story luxury hotel, a national landmark, continues to exude all the elegance of the period with modern amenities. Many of the original details remain, including the walnut paneling, intricate metalwork, 20-story mail chute, Art Deco light fixtures and a gilded winged statue of the goddess Dawn. The 216 rooms are cozy, characteristic of a historic hotel, and comfortable, with modern amenities such as complimentary WiFi, multiple charging outlets, flat screen TVs, plump duvets, high-end linens, C.O Bigelow bath products and Keurig coffee. The hotel's highly celebrated restaurant, Tavernonna Italian Kitchen, serves chef driven breakfast and dinner menus and happy hour, Sneak down to the 1930's inspired speakeasy bar, P.S., through the hidden entrance near the front desk for craft cocktails and small bites. Additional amenities include a business center, room service, a 24-hour gym, massages available by appointment, and event space rental available by reservation with the sales team. Valet parking is available for a fee. Right in the middle of downtown, Hotel Phillips is one block from the Power & Light District, eight lively blocks of restaurants, nightclubs and theaters, one block from the city's streetcar, and six blocks from the Sprint Center, ranked third in the US among sports arenas. The airport is 19 miles away. More than just a hotel, the Hotel Phillips is an experience, a step back in time to a more gracious era. Everyone deserves that experience, if only for a night.
