HORRIBLE PLACE WITH HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Today my fiancé and I had an appointment for cake tasting for our wedding at 10:30 am, we left our home in Orange County at 8:45 am because I hate to be late anywhere I go; we thought actually that we would get early enough to grab a bite to eat but we got stuck twice in the fwy because of two accidents but still we got off the fwy with 10 minutes before our appointment and we were on the street of the bakery but the street was CLOSED so we started to follow the detour and it was kind of all over the place . Exactly at 10:30 am I realized that we were going to be maybe 10 minutes late so I called the shop and this GREG or CRAIG the owner answer, I said excuse me I have an appointment with you guys at 10:30 am and before I said anything he said "yes and is past 10:30 so you are late " I look at my phone and the time was exactly 10:30 which is by satellite so is correct so I told him "no, is 10:30 and we are a couple of miles away but the street is closed " again he interrupted me and said " can you see the detour signs ?" So I patiently explained to him that that's exactly what we were following and I was just letting him know that we were going to be 10 minutes late but then he said " you are going to be 30 minutes late !" And he proceed argue with me !!! He didn't care to know anything and just continue to be rude. Since he is a vendor from the Mission inn I didn't wanted to just turned around and go home, so we went anyway ; then we had to deal with another horrible person This woman I guess Jennifer ? She was rude as well and when I asked for the owner she brought that guy even after I told her I wanted to talk to the other owner . When the guy came to us instead of bringing the cakes to taste, he came to tell me " we'll since you are mad already I am not going to give you the tasting " the. I told him , how can you be so rude? We are customers of the mission inn and you are one of they preferred vendors, we are 12 minutes late ! And he said , not on my time , I don't go by your time on the phone I go by my time on my wall clock! He went on being Nasty at us! I explained we are coming from Orange County and before I even said to you that we were going to be late you were already being mean and rude ! What about if I called to say I got in an accident ? And he said I DON'T CARE ! At that point we walked out in disbelieve of how can he run a business with that attitude and represent such a beautiful wedding venue if he is a horrible person to deal with! I read other reviews on yellow pages and yelp and he appears to have done similar thing to other customers

I have been going to simply cakes for all of my childrens cakes and have found nothing that compares to the quality and taste of their cakes, which is obviously important. Additionally, this place is so creative and the different cakes they have made are extraordinary to say the least. The service was just as good! I have zero complaints and would reccomend this cake place to anyone I know as I always have.
