Rydal West School is a learning center that provides various academic services to students. It employs a staff of more than 15 teachers and paraprofessionals, including psychologists, reading consultants, language specialists, nurses and speech therapists. The institution enrolls students in kindergarten and grade one. Rydal West School conducts classes in math, science, English and social studies. It also offers special education sessions, as well as maintains a library that stocks over 1,900 printed and nonprinted materials that include encyclopedias and educational software. In addition, the institution has a parent-teacher organization that supports several fundraising activities and events. Rydal West School additionally offers early intervention, math enrichment and Accelerated Reader programs. It maintains one of its locations in Rydal, Pa. The institution is a part of the Abington School District, which operates Highland Elementary School and Roslyn Elementary School.
