I chose bertha back in nov. 2003 for my wedding before she joined princess and co. Bertha is a sweet elderly lady her demeanor was kind and her cake was fresh and beautiful for my weddinf everyone loved the cake. In sept. 2005 I went back for my sons 1st b-day. The cake was a big hit and just as good as I remembered. I hope with the joined business the business will do well. I will probably get them to do my daughters 1st b- day in nov. 2006.
Cakes by Bertha Brown is a conjoined business with Princess and Co. My fiance and I had put down a "refundable" $500 deposit to the business which was supposed to be refundable if we did not like their services and decided to choose someone else. We decided to go with another vendor and they decided to keep our "refundable" deposit. They are keeping our "refundable" deposit without providing any services. DO NOT go with this business. We have found 2 other couples who Trish Harrison and this company has kept their money and 3 other vendors who she still owes money to. Now we are forced to go the legal route, call the Better Business Bureau etc. Save yourself the hassle and do not choose this company.
