Compassionate Families, Inc., under the direction of Glen and Margaret Mitchell, whose son, Jeff, was murdered, provides compassionately caring supportive grief recovery services and assistance for homicide survivors (since 1998). CFI is a unique agency, one of less than two dozen in the U.S., that provides FREE quality services for homicide survivors and one of only three that provide exclusive homicide survivor services and assistance (from the National Victim Assistance Directory search). The Mitchells are U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Victims of Crime, 2009 International Service Award, Honorable Mention Winners.
