Dr. Vendola performed an endometrial ablation on me. It was so unbelievably painful and his bedside manner during the procedure was startling. My friend was in the room with me for moral support and even she commented that his behavior was quite uncaring during the procedure. I did not receive any anesthesia -- he indicated that insurance companies are more likely to approve the procedure when that cost is eliminated. I told him from the start of my low tolerance for pain and aversion to medical procedures in general, but it is like a cattle call in there -- he gets them in and gets them out. For my two post surgery checkups I waited 45 minutes for him, he spent 90 seconds with me and I STILL had to pay a $30 copay each time. Another gynecologist stated, after hearing the story of my experience, that he would never perform that surgery on somebody without anesthesia. I do not consider myself to be a whiner, but honestly, I will never forget that awful experience. It was awful!
