Located in Jackson, Ga., Jackson Elementary School has an enrollment of over 550 students in prekindergarten through fifth grade. The school has a staff of certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes a speech therapist, custodian, special education instructor, music director, school nurse, and reading and literacy coach. It provides academic classes in a variety of subjects, including English, math, science, art, music, social science, physical education and computer technology. The school organizes various cocurricular events, such as Red Ribbon Week, Halloween Parade, open house, music concerts and dance competitions. Jackson Elementary School is administered by Butts County Schools, which serves more than 3,000 students in Georgia.
