Come early if you want to rent a raft! We do this every year and an hour will make all the difference on the mode of transportation you'll get. Plan to pack your lunch because it'll be a few hours. The staff is friendly. They load the boats you rent and drive you back to the launch. Then you can enjoy nature out on the river as you casually make your way back to the docks. Most of the river is shallow enough to wade and swim in. Don't forget the sun screen!

Great river to float with your friends and little kids. Get your flippy floppies and get on a boat. Look at me I'm on a boat.

First off there was no electricity in our cabin. I could see the other cabins had power and management blamed the power company and she was so rude to us I could not believe she was actually running a business. The cabin was so dirty and infested with bugs we had to sleep in our car because it was late in the evening and we could not find another place to stay that night. We asked for a refund and the staff gave us the run around and when the manager called us on the phone she was rude and said she would think about giving us a refund. Then a few days later we got a letter in the mail from her stating reasons why she would not give us a refund . We were only in the cabin about a half an hour total. We would have been better off bring a tent. Don't stay at Mack's Inn it is terrible!!!!

We recently vacationed in Island Park, ID and booked a cabin at Macks Inn resort. There were 7 adult, 1 pre teen and 2 small children. Upon booking this resort I called to see what accommodations were available. We weren't looking for 5 star dining and entertainment. Had plans to be at cabin as little as possible. They said there was a television over the phone, but bring own DVD/tape player due to horrible reception. NO TV. The cabin sleeps 10 but as far as seats... 3 table and only 2 chairs. Couch was ripped and gross. The furniture looked like things you don't even garage sale. You take it to the dump. Curtains held up with holes ripped in them. Carpets beyond gross!! Beds old and very noisy! Very Very outdated. Customer service was great upon arrival. Manager is very very rude! No one could really handle concerns during our stay so we left a written complaint and manager told us to stay in cars if unhappy and "You get what you pay for" Found dead bird behind couch. These are cleaned daily, Not out in the middle of nowhere. Found animal feces under couch. Cabin smelled like Gas. Gas stove was leaking. Fixed it but oven didn't work. Manager blamed heavy snow season, but these concerns were not related to snow. VERY VERY GROSS, DIRTY & OLD. (Not classy old- very run down trailer park old) I don't advise anyone to stay here. The owner really needs to evaluate current manager. SHE WAS UNPROFESSIONAL & RUDE!!!! Got home and heard the same things from people in town that feel the same way and will not stay there for these exact two reason. Ignorant management and very unkempt! They should take the money for the rooms and put it back into the rooms.
