Jackie Mae Townsell Elementary School was established in 2003 and its facility includes a playground, cafeteria, library, art and music room, computer lab and more than 20 classrooms. It offers classes to students in kindergarten through grade five. The school's library media center provides access to more than 2,000 magazines, newspapers, books, maps, pictures, radio and TV transcripts, and English and Spanish encyclopedias. It teaches a variety of subjects, such as computer technology, language arts, special education, foreign language, English, math, science and social studies.
