      Founded in 1989, CardioGenesis Corporation is a medical device company that designs, manufactures and distributes laser-based surgical products that promote cardiac angiogenesis. The company produces laser devices for the percutaneous myocardial revascularization procedure and is the only company conducting trials of percutaneous myocardial revascularization. Its focus is on patients with advanced cardiovascular disease and specifically severe angina. CardioGenesis products include a CardioGenesis TMR 2000, a solid-state Holmim:YAG Laser System that delivers laser energy to the heart muscle through the CardioGenesis SoloGrip III, a surgical hand-piece with built-in fiberoptics. More than 10,000 of these procedures have been performed worldwide. The company holds more than 90 United States and international patents. CardioGenesis is headquartered in Foothill Ranch, Calif.
