Sold my church an upright bass as a pastor apperciation gift for my father in-law. Two ladies from church picked it up without inspecting it. 4 sundays later I got a chance to inspect it and it looked terrible, except what one would see from the front as viewed in the case. Cracked wood (not new but old cracks that had been stained over) new cracks are easy to spot, bubled finish, swolen wood on the back and in the binding which looked like a patch. The owner accused us of doing something to it and suggested that we damaged it with lack of humidity. I have owned several high end acoustic guitars over the last 20 years and I know about humidity. Humidity was fine. We keep a hygrometer with the instruments. Maybe the owner is not as educated as he would like to think. If he were, he would know that the defects could not have been caused buy humidity (especially in 30 days) but were defects in materials and craftsmanship. He said "well, you didn't buy a $3000 bass". No, we bought a brand new $800 bass and hard case to match and expect it to look new and not like it was refurbished. I'm not acusing them of doing anything in their shop, but they did sell us a bass that they either didn't inspect themselves or they new they were selling a defective product but charged us full price. Either way this is bad business. He said he would not take it back and to come get it out of his shop. Don't waste your money with this guy. Classic bait and switch con artist.

Said they would order stuff for me two different times but never got a call back either time
