Grantswood Community School is an educational institution that conducts educational classes in kindergarten through grade two. It is comprised of more than 35 faculty and staff members. The school employs various physical education instructors, counselors, special education aides, reading coaches and speech therapists. Grantswood Community School supports the English as a Second Language program. It operates a library and media center that provides several resources to support its schools curriculum. The school is a part of the Jefferson County School System, which operates more than 50 elementary, middle and high schools. The Jefferson County School System maintains various departments that include exceptional and gifted education, finance, information technology, child nutrition, transportation, and guidance and assessment.
