Sparrow Ionia Hospital is a 25-bed critical access acute care hospital accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Joint Commission is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that indicates we meet certain performance standards. In the fall of 2009 we received our Gold Seal and 3 year certificate with Joint Commission. On January 1, 2010 Sparrow demonstrated its continued commitment to the residents of Ionia County by finalizing their relationship with Ionia County Memorial Hospital and welcomed them as a full partner into the Sparrow family. The hospital then took the name of Sparrow Ionia Hospital. They are working together to improve the health of the people in our communities by providing quality, compassionate care to everyone, every time.
