Independence Middle School is a part of the Independence Unified School District 446 and is located in Independence, Kan. The school provides academic education and instructions to more than 450 students in grades six through eight. It organizes various sports activities that include track and field, cross country, football, soccer, volleyball, tennis, basketball, wrestling, softball and cheerleading. The school has various clubs and groups, including the National Honor Society and the Future Business Leaders of America. It has a library media center that offers a collection of curriculum-related books and provides links to online research resources for additional information. Independence Middle School includes various subjects in its curriculum, such as computer applications, foreign languages, math, science, social studies and physical education.
