Founded in 1974, Historic Huntsville Foundation is a nonprofit, educational organization that is engaged in the preservation and conservation of historic sites and structures. The organization offers a range of technical support, consulting, advocacy and community planning services. Historic Huntsville Foundation also receives grants from local, state and federal agencies. The organization owns and operates owns and operates Harrison Brothers Hardware. Historic Huntsville Foundation additionally maintains a warehouse of architectural artifacts and materials. The organization publishes several newsletters and magazines on several historic preservation topics. Historic Huntsville Foundation offers policy making services, as well as maintains a work force of more than 25 employees.
