They turned away my 3 yr old with a 104 temp because they want to get off early! I went in there are 7:50 (their posted hours say they close at 9. Open sign was on) When the person at the front asked doc right in front me, the doc looked at us, and gave a dirty look. The the front desk person turns to me, and says, "Sorry, the doctor wants to go home." Are you freakin kidding me? Beware as their priority is not you, the patient. About Us section on their website: "West Oaks Urgent Care has the best team of broken bone doctors in Houston. We understand that you need an instant treatment for a sports injury." I guess you need a sports injury in order to get good service here?

Very very disappointed with this place.

My wife went in complaining of cold/fever symptoms. The doctor told her he wasn't sure what she had so gave her three separate prescriptions; one for cold, one for fever, and one for allergies. Cover all bases...what does he care since he wasn't the patient being told to drug up or have to pay for the prescription. I thought doctors were supposed to be able to diagnose.

Now get this, I paid $50 copay that day. After 3-months, I get a bill for $175. So total for 5-min time and useless diagnosis is $225. Are you kidding me!!!!! What a rip off!!!!!

Never this place again!

West Oaks Urgent Care is close to my home. Their hours are really good - they are open on a good schedule.

I have been there 3 times in the past year. In each case the staff was friendly, the facility clean and welcoming and the doctors very helpful. I appreciate the professionalism of all the staff. The doctors on each of my visits explained what was wrong, gave me time to ask questions. I never felt rushed.

I am grateful they are close to me. This place is more than an emergency choice but is becoming a reliable part of my health care.

This past Sunday was my second visit in 18 months. The staff are friendly, efficient, and I'm seen very quickly. I get copies of information to take with primary MD when I leave. The doctor sits down and discusses the diagnosis completely and explains the best plan of care. All diagnoses have been accurate as I follow up with my PCP to make sure I have full resolution of the infection.

This was my first visit to West Oaks Urgent Care. They accepted my insurance, and the co-pay was MUCH less that it would have been at a hospital ER! In addition, there was virtually NO wait - and I went on a Saturday afternoon! I twisted my ankle pretty badly while out of town. They did X-rays (which they even gave to me on a CD!!), provided me with a stabilizing shoe, and gave me pain meds & antibiotics! Erica, Juan, and Dr. Emron were GREAT! I can definitely say that if the need arises, I will not hesitate to use them again!

We have gone to West Oaks several times over the last few years and have always received excellent care. MUCH better than going to the hospital ER. Much faster and much lower priced with Dr.'s who are helpful, skilled and able to do x-rays and stitches when needed. I drive 30 minutes to get there. MUCH better than another closer urgent care that can't x-ray or do stitches.

If you ever need to go to the doctor and you can't get an appointment or if you have a minor emergency and don't want to deal with the hassle of the ER, this is your place! My family has been to this Urgent Care facility over a dozen times in the last few years and we have been seen for sinus infections, x-ray of a broken toe, received a breathing treatment, stitches and everything in between! Last night my oldest son had a biking accident and we arrived at the Urgent Care about 15 minutes before closing. I was amazed at how wonderful the staff still was! With the way they treated my son you would have thought we were the first patients of the day and not the last. His injury required six stitches and it was so nice to have that done for our specialist co-pay rather than waiting in the ER on a Friday night! We used to live within two miles of this center but have moved and still make the drive in because we know how fast they will see us and how wonderful the service is!
