      Tyler Trosclair is a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who graduated from the University of Texas at Houston Health Science Center. Tyler has more than 6 years of psychiatric nursing experience in a variety of settings where he has cared for patients with depression, anxiety, ADHD and bipolar related disorders as well substance use disorders. As a mental health provider, his priority is to ensure that, along with Dr. Mushtaq, each person receives holistic, individualized psychiatric treatment that restores and maintains a person’s emotional wellbeing. Tyler’s philosophy is based on the belief that each patient should receive the same quality of care that he would expect for himself and his loved ones. Tyler utilizes a collaborative care model when treating his patients by working closely with any other treating physicians involved in their medical care. By doing so, he aims to assist patients in achieving not only emotional stability, but also favorable physical health outcomes. In addition to practicing clinically, Tyler is an active member of the Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurses Association of Houston. Outside of psychiatry his interests include technology, traveling, exercise, and enjoying time with his family.
