This place is sooooo good. I'm hooked. Their Shish Tawook is amazing and the Red Pepper dip with Pomegranate Molasses is incredible. Never had anything bad here- it's all very fresh, nothing is greasy- I'm a very health conscious person and very particular about how food is prepared- everything is always fresh and light. Love this place. Service is always wonderful as well. Two thumbs up and snap.

We have been a long time customers of Cafe Mezza and We have always had GREAT SERVICE and AWESOME FOOD.
My wife and I eat out at least 3-4 times a week and we can honestly say that the service we get at Cafe Mezza is much better and superior to any other restaurant we go to in Houston.
We have been there with large groups and with just our kids and service, food and management have been wonderful. Mistakes are made and people are human!! So when I see a review like the one from ""clarisamiranda"" it really bothers us!!!!
We have been recently to Cheesecake Factory where there was NO service at all and the food quality is mediocre, and Los-Cucos where we had to wait over 10 minute for a glass of water and 15 minute to get small plates for our appetizers, not to mention our waiter was on his ""CELL PHONE"" most of the time and that is why our orders were ALL WRONG on top of that we were over charged on our check....However we can't say the same about Mark's restaurant since we go there as well, the food & the service are GREAT.
Overall, Cafe Mezza has kept up with their food quality and their service since they open and it ""SHOWS"" with ALL the previous reviews they have.

I went for dinner with a group of friends (8 total). I was ordering wine and appetizers for our table; it was great! We all ordered our entrees. I ordered a chicken dish; the food came out and I received a shrimp salad. I told the server that's not what I ordered, that I don't even eat shrimp, and he admitted he messed up. He told me it would be 10-12 mins for me to get my originally ordered dish, so I told him I would eat the salad minus the shrimp because I can't eat shrimp.
If you were a restaurant manager, wouldn't you automatically comp this lettuce???
I would think so, but when I got the check the salad was on there (that I didn't order) which I never argued. I paid, and it was a friend of mine sitting at the table who questioned the salad charge that caught the attention of a manager who stopped by the table (after I paid) to insert his 2 cents. He said ""We didn't charge you for the shrimp because you didn't eat them."" To which I replied, ""You charged me for a salad I never ordered."" He said, ""But you ate the salad."" And I said, ""Yes, I ate the salad because I had nothing else to eat while all my friends were eating!""
End of story: I paid full price for lettuce I never ordered, and I WILL NEVER BE BACK AGAIN! The manager should have just never came by because he made it worse!
This place was so incredibly good:) I loved it! The atmosphere was great, the food, amazing, and the prices, even better.
I had the mixed grill. The plate was perfect. I enjoyed every second of the chicken kufta, beef kufta and the chunks of shish kabob, the side of rice and grilled veggies. This was the perfecct meal.
This place is perfect to stop by after shopping at the Galleria, which is only a few mintues away. Its located right by the Melting Pot, and its a definate must if youre in the area.
My co-workers and i were looking for a lunch spot close to the Galleria and we stumbled across Mezza. We were seated immediately and our server was very prompt to take our order. It was really hard to pick our entrees since the menu is so big. All of our picks were great. Word of caution to all,the portions are Texas sized so come hungry. You have got to give this place a try.

My husband and decided to give Cafe Mezza a try after some of my co-workers raved about it..... Well, all I can say is it was by far the best meal I've had in a long time. From the minute we walked in I knew we were in for a treat. We started of with a house salad and it was to die for.We then took our servers suggestion and had the Lamb Shank and the Pecan Crusted Salmon. I never knew lamb could taste so yummy. The salmon was equally delish...We managed to save a little space for the Coconut Tres Leches. I am so glad we did because it just was heavenly.... I don't know why we didn't come sooner but we will definitely be back very soon.

We went there for a business lunch today with my staff and I have to admit this little restaurant has exceeded my expectations by far. I have NEVER posted a review before for any restarant, however this one is a must due to the high quality, large portions, excellant service and an expansive menu.
In a nut shell, it is a high end restaurant at cafe prices.
take my word for it, you will not be dissapointed.

My husband and I have been meaning to come check out Cafe Mezza for a while.. Anyhow,we managed to come in last night and I'm so glad we did. We started out with the best Spinach Dip in town. Our entrees were to die for.... I had the Mango Stuffed Chicken and my husband had the Lamb Shank and they were both extremely generous portions. The Lamb just fell off the bone and the sauce it came with was so aromatic as well as delicious. We have not had a meal this great in a very very long time.
I just wish we would have saved room for dessert, they all looked so yummy. We will definitly be back with all our family and friends soon.......

Wow. Excellent Food. We had the veggie wraps and the sweet potato fries. It was a tough choice because everything on the menu looked so good.
The food was awesome! Our waiter was fantastic. The dining area was well decorated and comfortable.
I love this place.

they have some of the best dishes ever. we had a mezza salad with a to die for homemade salad dressing. we dove into a pick three of hummus, red pepper dip and fatouch(sorry about the spelling) that was all so fresh tasting, it was simply wonderful. their wine selection was to die for as well and their house red was fantaboulous!! and if that wasn't enough, for dessert we had their revamped version of tres lesches cake, OMG!! talk about scrumptous. they added a little something different and the toasted coconut on top just hooked us for life. we heard of cafe mezza from friends in austin and they were right to suggest it. give it a try. our wait staff was more than genuine and timely.

Very friendly service; however, they weren't very organized. I waited an hour for my Fried Calamari - I reminded several wait sttafs several times. I finally got it two minutes later.
The food is pretty good. The chicken platter was alright. Anything the rib eye platter was good ? the Strawberry Cream was just alright.
Overall a good place but service still needs some work. I'll give it another shot.

We have eaten here a bunch of times and every time it has been great. The service is good and for awhile one of the waitresses recognized us.
We usually order the blackened fish sandwich- which is amazing! For dessert we order either their bread pudding or carrot cake. They serve them with two difference sauces so you can fix it up however you would like. Both are always moist and yummy. I have also ordered some of their dinner meals I had a shrimp and fish one with a lemon butter sauce and it was excellent. They have tons of options - even a good selection of vegetarian items. They have a decent selection of side items to order when you get a sandwich(potato salad, fruit salad with a poppy seed dressing, sweet potato fries) - not just chips.
The service has always been good and the food is ready fast. They have some really good pita chips that they put on the table to eat while you're waiting. The decor is good. They have local artists' works on the wall for sale and they change occasionally. The artwork offers something to talk about at your table. There are TVs on - usually on the news or a big game that is on. Don't expect fancy, but it is nice, neat, and clean.
This is one of our go to places as we can always depend on Cafe Mezza for a good meal.

My family enjoyed dinner at Cafe Mezza tonight. What a great menu! There was something for everyone -- even my picky son (who enjoyed a burger with wonderful sweet potato fries on the side for something different -- fabulous). Shrimp tacos, great variety of sandwiches, fabulous salads, generous servings of soup (a ""cup"" is a small bowl and a ""bowl"" is an enormous bowl), pasta dishes, shish kabobs, grilled chicken, fish and more. We *really* enjoyed the hummus appetizer. Delicious. Prices are very reasonable. Setting is casual and cozy. Outside seating available with ceiling fans overhead. A great new find!

Friends and I have been 5 or 6 times now, and have just been more impressed with each visit. My daughter and I go once or twice a week for lunch. The salads may just be the best in town. Yesterday, I noticed the ""Sides"" menu and went with the Wild Rice Risotto and Grilled Vegetables. The risotto was so perfect, mushrooms galore. My daughter's Salmon Salad was perfection on a plate. We have never been disappointed here by the food, service or surroundings. It is also very family friendly, without interrupting the other diners. They also do chicken and veggies perfectly. On my first visit I was with a group and we did appetizers to dessert. Since the portions are so generous, my daughter and I usually just stick with one dish each and share. But the appetizers and desserts are equally delicious.
