We were very pleased with every thing John Moore Services did for us. They came out on short notice . The problems we had were electrical and plumbing. Both issues were fire danger and the men worked until 9 P.M. to finish the job. They were very professional .
We received excellent Customer Service with every dealings with them from the phone call to make the appointment to the completed work.
We will recommend them to our friends and family.
John Moore Services acted very promply when I called with a sewer problem. The technician arrived promptly and corrected the problem his first time out and the rate I was charged was unbelieveably low. I will call them again if i ever have another plumbing problem.
John Moore helped me solve a couple of electrical problems in my home. The technician was professional, friendly, fast and thourough. A great service experience.
Ecellent service
John Moore resolved some plumbing problems, primarily leaks and resolved them quickly in spite of unexpected difficulties along the way. Outside hose bib leaking with a 20+ year old faucet. The builder had put the feeder line through an interior wall. Resolved the issue quickly with minor difficulty finding the feeder line and replaced the faucet.
The kitchen sink faucet, also 20+ years old, securing bolts were so corroded from leaking water the tech had to saw the faucet off the sink. Again, problem quickly resolved.
Replaced several other shut-off valves and resolved some supply line issues to toilets, etc. with great efficiency.
Efficient, on time, respectful, and made sure I knew unusual plumbing issues they encountered as well as making sure costs were well known before starting the work. The only slight disappointment was the cost for service but it has been a long time since I've hired a plumber.
I'd hire them again.
If I could give these guys a negative score I would. My parents used them to remodel two of their bathrooms and to say that they have been unprofessional would be a HUGE understatement.
I am not going to list every single issue because there are many and it would be too time consuming but I will let you know about some of the major problems. To begin with, there appeared to be a complete disconnect between their own people. The right hand had no idea what the left hand was doing. It seemed as if there was zero communication between the designer, management, work foremen and actual laborers. As an example, one day two men showed up, who incidentally spoke pretty much zero English. And mind you, they showed up only after my parents had to hassle your company to have someone come over and actually start the work, an entirely different matter which I will address below. Not only was the work quality not very good - many tiles were visibly crooked - but the grout used was completely wrong. It made the poorly laid tiles look even worse. When we tried to explain to them that it was the wrong color grout, with some effort, they raised their shoulders and relayed to me that that is the color grout they were told to use by the superiors. The shower tiles had to be completely redone because of the poor workmanship and wrong color grout.
Secondly (something raised above), John Moore's employees did not keep with the work schedule and, in fact, many times never even bothered to show up at appointed times. On many my parents stayed home, waiting for workers from JM to show up and resume work, only to be left waiting. When my parents complained they received excuses from JM's management and empty promises that definitely someone will come soon, only to be let down again. The no-shows happened on a consistent basis and became quite irritating and taxing. It felt like JM didn't really give a damn about the job once they pocketed the money. They put my parents on the back burner, occasionally sending over someone to do a little here a little there to keep us off your backs. It felt very insulting. Mind you, both bathrooms were supposed to have been completed by June 2011 and it is now December 2011 and the aforementioned issues are still issues. And what makes this even more infuriating and insulting is that no one even bothers to call to let my parents know that no one will show up. As a common courtesy, your company can at least make it a practice to let its customers know that your laborers will be a no-show.
You provided excuses all throughout this process as to why things are being delayed (Never mind the fact that your employees just did not bother to show up). This material had to be reordered because it is not available, or because there were issues with delivery, or there were ""other"" problems. While I can understand that sometimes things are not delivered exactly on time, your company knew before hand exactly what had to be ordered. We sat down with the designer in may and drew up a plan and determined what material was needed for the bathrooms. How dare you make excuses four/five months past the agreed upon completion date that you ordered the wrong item.
Both bathrooms were supposed to have been completed by June. It is now December and not even the first one is done. With John Moore you don't ""get more"", you get a very poor service.
Scheduled service for my A/C on-line and received a call to schedule within 20 minutes. Technician was courteous, professional, and very customer service oriented. The technician was even able to come earlier than my appointed service window. Would highly recommend!
The technician never arrived after 4 calls to the dispatch - I cancelled needless to say
My husband met plumber from John Moore at our rental property for the purpose of unplugging sewer line. The plumber technician's interpretation of video was that sewer lines under the house and to the main sewer were broken and should be replaced at the cost of $19,000.00. The next day another plumbing company ran another camera which showed absolutely no problems with any of the sewer lines. We believe the John Moore technician to be incompetant or he was perpetraing a scam to obtain a totally unecessary $19,000.00 job.
BE CAREFUL!!! OR AVOID ALTOGETHER!!!
I experienced a plumbing backup in the main line; washing machine drained into the kitchen sink! Yuck. One call to John Moore and the tech was here. He was dressed in uniform with booties! Explained the work required and charges. He completed the job and I was back to my life. Great folks - don't hesitate to call John Moore.
A shame you have to give out at least one star because they don't deserve it. Secheduled an appointment for which they told us they would call 40 minutes before they showed up. No call and no show. When we called they said they went to a house that was obviously the wrong house. I asked ""why didn't they call"" which I never got a response. Stupid me rescheduled for the next morning which they no called and no showed once again. When I called they came up with different excuses such as we rescheduled (only because you idiots didn't show up) and then they said we refused service (once again not true; never showed up). Botton line how can they fix a plumbing problem when they can't even schedule the appointment correctly?? DO NOT CALL JOHN MOORE!
Had trouble with kitchen faucet, called John Moore Services and scheduled appointment. Technican was prompt, professional, and keep the kitchen neat and clean. Tech fixed bathroom drain and even kept the bathroom clean. We're very satisfied with John Moore Services and will use them again when needed.
I had gone online to schedule an appointment on Sunday. A representative called me 3 minutes after I hit send to schedule an appointment for the next day. The technician, Danny Parret, was very prompt and went above and beyond in service. He fixed by bathtub drain and also took a look at a stuck sink stopper. He loosened nut and realigned the hook and my sink was fixed too. I didn't have cash to tip him so all I can do is brag. Very satisfied customer.
I called John Moore simply because I could remember their number off the top of my head from the TV commercial, but I'm glad I did. Derric the electrician that came round to provide me a FREE estimate (others wanted to charge me $125) spent at least an hour looking at the issue I was having, offering advice and even answering unrelated questions about home electrics.
I was able to get Derric back within a week to complete the work requested, which he completed promptly and to a high standard. He even completed some additional work at no extra cost having identified a code violation in my circuit box.
I would recommend without hesitation
Prompt plumbing service. Cost and options explained before any repairs done.
This is the Best Service I have had..I joined the yearly check program where they contact me and remind me it is time to change filters etc..also to have heater or AC checked..Both times the Techs have come out they have been gentlemen, understanding of my concerns about unit and they are timely and clean. I will continue to use them and have even inquired about their pest control service and electrical services...Very quick on service calls..called this am and he was here at noon...What a Service now adays when everyone wants you to wait...THEY ARE GREAT!!
I allowed a little latitude due to it being a weekend. But I believe that SIXTEEN HOURS, and the only responses during that time were when I had to call them back..is more than generous!I wasted an entire Saturday waiting for these ****heads and have had to schedule someone more responsible to do a simple kitchen sink job. If you have plumbing problems, call John Moore and be sure to time their response...with a CALENDAR!! You only have one chance to make a first impression, and John Moore BLEW IT!!!
I wasn't happy about the prospect of needing a new water heater, but John Moore Services made it as painless as possible. The technicians were very professional and trustworthy. They also were surprisingly quiet, and I was able to work and participate in conference calls during the install. I would definitely recommend them.
We recently had John Moore install a new water heater for us and had a great experience!
The service technician was very knowledgeable and patiently explained everything to us. They were very respectful of our house and worked very hard the entire time they were here for the install (5 hours).
They answered any and all questions and gave great advice.
It was a pleasant experience and I would recormend them 100% for a water heater install!
Had a John Moore representative come to give us a bid on installing a gas jet for a dryer in our home. Lance was our rep. He arrived early within the window for service, was honest, friendly, and knowledgeable. He did not try to pressure us into anything. The estimate trip was completely without obligation and there was no pressure and no charge for an estimate. He even took a look at our water heater and other plumbing at no charge. It is very hard these days to get anyone to come out to your home without a service charge. We have used John Moore before and will definitely use them again. Have never had any problems with them.
