Bringing together an alliance of organizations to fight the war on poverty!

General Info
Finance Education Alliance believes that there is an epidemic in our communities. Families are straddled with consumer debt. They do not understand what it takes to become financially independent and to leave a legacy of abundance for generations to come. In many cases families are living from pay-check to pay-check all of their lives and end up leaving a legacy of financial disparity for the following generations. Countless individuals are under insured and if one or both of the breadwinners were to die, it would be disastrous. Parents do not have the means to save for their children's education. Too many individuals cannot afford a retirement that will last twenty years or more, yet the average person is living longer. We know that this is not how it should be, especially in this great country that we call the United States; therefore, it is imperative that we transfer financial knowledge to the citizens of our community. Civic organizations, schools and churches should serve as catalysts for such an enormous initiative. These economic times are evident of this fact. A call to action has taken place for community organizations to become more involved in the community with the transferring of financial knowledge to the citizens that they serve. The statistics are startling. The United States is a country of abundance; therefore, more families should be enjoying financial prosperity. Unfortunately, they are not and because of this our national security is at stake. As a result, Finance Education Alliance will serve the community via workshops that will concentrate on the four cornerstones of financial literacy: Accounting (financial literacy)Investing (the science of making money) Understanding Markets (the science of supply and demand) The Law (the tax advantages and protection provided by owning a business/corporation vs. being an employee) --Rich Dad, Poor Dad By Robert Kiyosaki
