I am a former patient of Danny Brener,MD.I left treatment after seeking consultation re my therapy. I spent four years, with great frequency of visits and what i now know was excessive contact. The consultation i received supported my doubts about my treatment. Thank God my current psychiatrist values the patient's well -being over the "bucks"'made in a 45 minute session. Just do your research as best you can, and seek consultation when/if you begin to question a therapists motives or are "stuck.". An extended period of an inpasse can be a red flag! I wish i had known to seek consultation earlier. Good. Luck

i would not recommend this psychiatrist for psychotherapy, nor would i recommend him to manage psychotropic medication. He encourages too much dependency through frequent visits which most persons cannot afford. You wont have a difficult time getting in to see him as he works an average of 13 hrs a day. There are much better and ethical psychotherapists to choose from in our community. Shop wisely and good luck.

HAVE SEEN DR. BRENER OVER THE YEARS.
DIDNT GET THE SENSE THAT OUR WORK HAD MUCH FOCUS. HE HAS A LOT OF PATIENTS. I DONT APPRECIATE MY THERAPIST TAKING CALLS DURING MY SESSIONS. HE ALSO FALLS ASLEEP DURING SESSIONS. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PSYCHIATRIST/ PSYCHOTHERAPIST.
