I was trying to book my event there in January for my mother-in-law's birthday, however quickly had changed my mind after the service I have recieved during the process. Not willing to compromise, to advice offering on what to best when decorating. No ideas in regards to menus and food selection. What is this, a professional event place or a high-school playgrounds??

Ashton Gardens is a beautiful facility both for the ceremony and reception. This I am definitely not disputing. I did not care for its location (in a poor, somewhat run down area near the airport) nor the "moat" like ditch that is near it, but I was easily expecting to overlook that since the facility seemed so beautiful. My ceremony at Ashton was beautiful. The disaster happened as my guests entered the reception area. THE POWER WENT OUT. That meant no A/C in the middle of July. No lights...my guests could not go to the bathroom and were able to see their food only because of candlelight. My amazing videographer tried to help by grabbing his boombox from a friend's so at least we could possibly dance to our first dance song. Unfortunately, the wrong first dance song was played and none of the special things we had planned were played. Needless to say, the wedding was over at 10pm. My guests had left one hour and 30 minutes early. Ashton Gardens is a facility designated for weddings. W
