Founded in 1943, United Blood Services is a social welfare organization specializing in blood bank services. Located in Hot Springs, Ark., the organization offers blood, blood components and special services to patients in more than 500 hospitals in around 18 American states, including California, the Gulf Coast, Texas and Canada. United Blood Services caters to hospitals and health care clinics by educating about transfusion medicine. The organization provides blood to more than 15 million people throughout the United States.
