General Info
Family Dentistry, Implants, Acupuncture, Nutrition, TMJ, Mercury Free, Saturday Appointments. Serving all of Dutchess County. Dr. Kacherski is a holistically oriented dentist. He received his D.D.S. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his M.S. degree in Clinical Nutrition from Columbia Medical School. Dr. Kacherski is licensed in Clinical Nutrition and Acupuncture in New York State and integrates homeopathy, acupuncture and nutrition into his dental practice. He also maintains a separate practice in Clinical Nutrition. He received his acupuncture training from the International College of Acupuncture and Electro-Therapeutics in New York City. He has been a student of homeopathy for over 30 years. Homeopathy is both safe and effective with a long history of use throughout the world. Homeopathic medicines are regulated as drugs by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and are included in the U.S. Pharmacopea. Therefore, they are legal to use in America. This special knowledge separates our practice from other dental practices. Dr. Kacherski is also a member of the dental staff at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York. He was recently awarded a certificate of merit by the New York State Dental Society for completing 1500 hours of continuing dental education. Many dentists and physicians have no training in the relationship between teeth, the oral cavity, and systemic health. Many clinical problems in dentistry can be solved with a holistic approach rather than with prescription drugs, surgery, or root canals. The relationship between the mouth and general health is becoming more apparent especially in light of current research regarding dental infection and inflammation as additional risk factors for heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and other systemic and degenerative diseases like cognitive impairment.
