Hillsdale Community Health Center is the only acute care hospital in Hillsdale County, Michigan. The facility treats approximately 35,000 patients in its emergency department, services nearly 235,000 laboratory visits and performs more than 2,700 surgeries annually. The hospitals specializes in laparoscopic surgery and orthopedic care performed in its joint replacement center. HCHC also houses a skilled nursing facility and offers home health care. In 1997 the Mac McGuire Skilled Nursing Facility was ranked Number One in the State of Michigan. Hillsdale Community Health Center also offers services in a variety of areas including immunology, internal medicine, radiology, urology and occupational therapy.
