High Ridge Elementary is a public, coeducational institution that enrolls students in kindergarten through grade four. Located in High Ridge, Mo., it offers a variety of academic subjects, such as language arts, math, science, reading, health education and social studies. The school also offers a character education program to students. In addition, it runs special education, Title I and reading programs. The school employs a speech and language pathologist who works with students who have communication disorders, including articulation errors, halting speech, voice disorders and poor language skills. It conducts reading support classes to improve word recognition skills, reading comprehension and general vocabulary knowledge of students. The school provides a range of supplies, such as glue sticks, color pencils, pocket folders, markers, scissors, spiral notebooks, highlighters and sharpeners. In addition, it offers guidance counseling to students.
