Well, I can’t really judge what kind of doctor Dr. Chalko is because I’ve never met the man and it’s safe to say I never will. Dr. Chalko came highly recommended to me by another doctor, so I looked him up here in YP and gave his office a call. It was after business hours so I had to leave a message. I introduced myself, said who had recommended him to me, asked if he was accepting new patients, and gave my number so that they could call me back. Before I knew it, an entire week had gone by and I had never received a call, so I called back again. The office closed early that day or something so I had to leave another message. This time I pressed a number so that I could speak to a live person. I made sure I was speaking to Dr. Chalko’s answering service, left a message, and was assured I would get a call back. Another week goes by, nothing. Whoever the blame lies with, the doctor or a receptionist, this is very unprofessional. Never had a doctor just not call me back. If he isn’t accepting new patients, they could have kindly told me so and that would’ve been that. Instead, not even a courtesy call. So, if you’ve never seen the man before and are looking for a psychiatrist, and you decide to call his office, maybe you’ll have better luck than I did. I have a follow-up appointment with the doctor who recommended him to me in another week or so, and you can sure bet I’m going to let him know what happened and that he might not be giving Chalko’s name out anymore.
