My daughter's wedding reception was held at Woodland Hill Country Club in Hellertown sponsored by The Meadow's in Hellertown. I'd like to thank the professional crew and staff for allowing my daughter's wedding to be both memorable and stress free. They made it very possible for all guests to fully enjoy this OUTSTANDING night, as a father I can tell you I haven’t process the night's full range of emotions yet, thanks to the Meadows I can also tell you there were no worries or stressors involved. I STRONGLY recommend and suggest using the Meadow's professional staff for all your planning needs, you'll be satisfied with the results, trust me!!!!

Several of us go here on a regular basis for the Tuesday Night all you can eat buffet ($6.00). BUT NOT ANYMORE! They started having a rock open mike nite, which is fine but they have the buffet in the same room. We went two weeks ago and when the music started it was loud. Several people complained but to no avail, they said they would play the way they wanted. Last night we went again and again the music was loud. But this time an elderly woman, who didn't know there would be loud music, began to have a seizure. The group was asked to turn the music off until the woman could leave. Instead the drummer (the husband of the owner/manager) refused and began to, Very Rudely, announce that this was his place and no one was going to tell him to turn the music down. He went on to say that we (those that came for the buffet) shouldn't expect any fair treatment since we're only paying $6.00 and we should all leave if we don't like it because he doesn't need our patronage. They then proceeded to play even louder, all the while the family is trying to get the elderly woman out of the room and deciding if an ambulance was needed. I can understand wanting to play your music but don't be rude and if there is a medical problem you should be willing to stop until it is resolved!!!!!!

I am giving it 1 star because the food was fair to average & the room spacious but that is about all the positives I can give this place after attending a recent funeral repast luncheon there. The staff is RUDE, RUDE, RUDE particularly the woman who was behind the bar (I hope you read this, lady, you should not be working with the public or at least go back and get some client service training). The bartender (above mentioned woman) was repeatedly rude to the children attending and after the first few times she scolded them, she just resorted a perpetual scowl and dirty looks. They were acting like children and not particularly bad. A request for some extra cherries in a Shirley Temple was met with a sniff and ""I can't be giving away extra cherries all day."" A jar of cherries cost 1.99 at the grocery store, get a grip. Later we were rushed out of the place even though we were told we had the room for 3 hours. The staff also brought visitors for other parties/events through the room on a few occasions as well. This place would not survive if it were located anywhere else except for the backwater where it is.

Just went tonight and ate the buffet, or maybe I should say just sat at the buffet cause I hardly ate. None of the food was very good.. the chicken was raw in the middle. Serving christmas cookies for dessert... at the end of February. Had bagged chips for you, if you don't mind eating them being EXPIRED! Lemonade didn't taste like lemonade.. stale nachos. Old lady yelled at my niece and nephew for running, totally understandable until you say it eighteen times after they have stopped and then proceed to tell my sister her children are bad. Where do some people get off? I'll never step foot in that place again.

I wanted to say thank you so very much once again for the dinner last night. The food was amazing and the Steelhawks cake was so amazing, and we couldn’t be more appreciative of your support!
We are so excited to be working with you again and promoting the Meadows at our games.
Please give our sincere thanks to your whole staff and big kudos to your pastry chef for the design of that cake. It was so cool!

The church organized a fund raising event few weeks ago in the Meadows, it was very good experience.
Service and food were very good.
The number of people showed up in the event was more than we expected by more than 10% and the staff in the kitchen still managed to serve everyone as requested, Melissa and her team served and cooperated in a very pleasant way. It was a very successful event and definitely we will consider ""The Meadows"" in the future events. Thanks to all staff, keep up the good work. God bless

I had an Immigration Party for my husband becoming a Citizen and the service we received was absolutely amazing. From the beginning, to the end it was a wonderful experience. Russ and his team are a great bunch of people! I had such comments on the whole evening and I hope I brought him some more business!! The room was beautiful and they were soooo accommodating. Anything I needed, any questions I had I never had to worry about getting the attention I needed. I wanna thank them for the wonderful memories they helped me make that evening!! Keep up the good work!!!

Thank you so much for the wonderful food and service for our mothers funeral. Everyone commented on the amount, quality and the choice of desserts. You were so gracious to include the linens. At this difficult time for us, your help went above our expectations. The servers were awesome also. Denise, THANK YOU AGAIN!

My daughter's wedding reception was held at The Meadows in November 2011. I can't tell you how pleased we were with everything. We had several meetings leading up to the event and all went smooth, they do this often so you have to trust that they know what they're doing. We did have to call at the last minutes with some number changes and they were so kind (Denise) and even when I thought it was the end of the world they made it seem like no big deal, which I appreciated. The day of the event was perfect. Everything that was to be provided was. We had so many compliments on how great and fun everything was. I have to say I was a little nervous about the band because people just aren't used to them anymore. The band was the one of the biggest hits of the day. Even my mother told me how much she loved the music. People were dancing during cocktails, so much fun. The bartenders were great and there never seemed to be a line at the bar. People raved about the coffee cart. It was nice waking up the next day and knowing I would not have changed a thing!!

The Meadows catered a birthday party for me. About 50 attendees. They provided serving staff, a bartender and a shuttle service. The staff was excellent and very professional! They did everything!
The food was delicious. All of my guests commented on how good the food was and how well the party went!
My sincere thanks for making the party a huge success!
I would not hesitate to use the Meadows again!

My husband and I were asked to join some of my family to celebrate NYE for my birthday for dinner at The Meadows. I can honestly say I will NEVER go back there again! I had been there for their very cheaply priced luncheons in the past (about $6 each), only to be charged $86 for three people for the SAME food! First the crab ""bisque"" was so watered down it looked like colored water. They even water down the salad dressings!!! About five hours after leaving there, I felt sick to my stomach, and here it is two days later and I am still laying in bed with stomach issues that have drained me to the point of being lifeless! Not only was my birthday/NYE spoiled, it also detained me from attending a breakfast as my daughters the next morning for a birthday breakfast she and my granddaughter worked hard to surprise me with, and I could NOT attend! The food is disgusting, they water down everything that can be watered down, and everything is tasteless. DO NOT ATTEND ANY EVENTS THERE! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!

My friend and I went to the meadows ""burp'' excuse me. Today we went for Christmas dinner, a man was sitting in front of entrance in the cold with a cash register, I mean, who takes money before you eat it, besides a fast food place, man, id love to have had a bigmac instead. Ok, here we go, as we walked in, no friendliness, the buffet looked generic as we passed by it. Salad bar had 3 dressings, no ranch. no toppings to add to it, besides a fruit pan and something in another pan.The tea was horrible. The buffet was the worst I ever had in 39 years on this earth. Food wasnt hardly warm. Potatoes tasted instant. gravy was colored water. Ive tasted much better out of a can. My woman friend said the food was disgusting on the way out to a lady by the door, she looked shocked, I said, just our opinions. This place sucked, never to return. lesson learned, I just pray I dont get a virus to top it off. This place should close Christmas day, just like every other place did in hellertown, anything for a buck I guess, well they got 43$ from us today. Maybe there good other days of the week, I highly doubt it, Ill never know. When its good, you tell them, when it sucks, you tell them. Ok, thats all. Going to go eat yesterdays pizza now, Merry Christmas :) It didnt qualify for a star, Im dead serious. Good desert doesnt get a full star.

Having used the Meadows for years for picnics and sit down dinner parties I have to say without a doubt they have continued to outdo themselves in both service and food. Russ, the owner, has year after year put his best foot forward to satisfy my needs and wants. The band Paragon is a well established band capable of playing on reguest almost any song by digging into their many years of playing thoughout the Lehigh Valley. If you have a price for your planned affair, visit the meadows and get their bid to do your affair. You won't be sorry.

We had our wedding at the Meadows and I was extremely nervous from the time we booked the place. Russell is extremely unorganized and he gets off track during important meetings. Every time we would go for an appointment to set up the menu, etc. they hadn't had our appointment written down and would wonder why we were there. For our final appointment they had us double-booked because Russell hadn't written it down when I called, and they rushed us out in 5 minutes. I was very upset. A few days before my wedding Kim called me up basically yelling that I hadn't given my seating chart to them yet. I said I had just finished it and would bring it by in an hour and she said no, now would be better since she was ""paying people to stand around with nothing to do."" She was extremely rude to me, a paying customer. Needless to say, I was extremely worried with my wedding date fast approaching. On the day of the wedding, we had a slideshow that I had worked very hard on for months. The Meadows provided a projector and said that they had a DVD player. The DVD player wasn't working correctly so the slideshow kept skipping around and malfunctioning. They did nothing. The food was only decent, but the service from our hostess was pretty good. Our cake looked nice, but was supposed to have buttercream icing and ended up having disgusting whipped icing and we did not enjoy it. Overall, I would NOT recommend The Meadows for your wedding reception. The place is beautiful but the management is horrible, disorganized, and rude.
We decided to eat out this year for our Thanksgiving dinner and thought the Meadows would be a good choice. What a disappointment! The food was awful! The turkey was okay but it was the sides that were just gross! The stuffing looked like soggy bread, the sweet potatoes were unrecognizable and the drinks weren't any better! We had the ice tea and coffee and both were so weak as it was like drinking dirty water. It didn't stop with the food as the staff was very unpleasant and rude! It was freezing in the room and when we told the employee his answer was to put our coats on! The older woman behind the coffee machine and dessert area was rude and had a chip on her shoulder. When asked a question she snapped at you like she was doing you a favor by her being there. If you didn't want to work on Thanksgiving...then stay home!! VERY RUDE! We won't be going back! If I could give this place a rating of minus zero I would! Never again!
i produced a number of events at the meadows. russell & kim are always great to deal with. the lehigh valley music awards got started at the meadows due to russell supporting regional music.
his band paragon does a wide range of songs, from frank sinatra to led zepplin. quality musicians who have performed at musikfest.
any negative reviews on their talent probably comes from their competition, cowards who do not give their name.

The band is so horrible. Please be sure to listen to the band before you get swindled into using them as part of your package. They absolutely suck and will assure everyone at your wedding stays in their seats. They can't get booked anywhere so since the owner is a member of the band he tries to get people to use them who are utilizing his facilities because it comes off as a great deal. The DJ is horrible too. Anyone could have done 100x better putting an ipod on shuffle for the night. No relevant music and no one dancing. DO NOT USE PARAGON as your entertainment. THEY BLOW!!

To sum up The Meadows to someone looking for a reception hall, I'd have to word it like this: ""It's a big-time business, but it's run like a mom-and-pop shop."" I say this because up until our wedding day, it was like working with Sal at your local mechanic shop. When you call, they simply answer with ""Meadows."" Not, ""Hi, thank you for calling The Meadows. This is (name), how can I help you?"" I could care less, but it still shows how they run the place. Then we try over and over again to get a concrete balance of what we have yet to pay (after our deposit), and not one person could give us an actual figure. It was always, ""Somewhere in the $3,000 range."" Not helpful when you're trying to budget for a big wedding. Then we have our ""two-week meeting,"" at 7:00 at night. We weren't seen until 7:50, and didn't leave until 9:30. Not a good night at all. Then we have our dinner rehearsal, a very important night, and they double-booked us with another party! We had to rehearse in a totally different area of The Meadows, so we were completely in the dark during the actual wedding. We had to figure out what to do minutes before the ceremony, all because they double-booked.
Now, with all that being said, and with all the worried we had with the wedding since they run the place so old-school, we were thrilled with the actual wedding and reception! That morning, there were three young girls setting up the reception hall, and they did a wonderful job. Our hostess was great, and walked us through every step of the way. They were accommodating to the vendors we hired, and everything was done in a timely manor. Not to mention the fact that the place is gorgeous, and made for some great pictures! The food was just so-so in my opinion, but with the price you pay, you can't expect gourmet. We spent literally half of what it would have cost at a gold club, with the same results. I would recommend this place for sure, just know it's a bit old-school. Great wedding!

We just returned from our honeymoon (BTW you MUST go to Cozumel, Mexico) anyway, i just wanted to say that the Meadows in Hellertown is the greatest place for a wedding. I've been to many weddings in my life and our wedding topped them all. The guests loved the food and service. My wife couldn't say enough about the waitress who waited on her hand and foot all night. And the band was amazing! People were coming up to us all night and saying how much fun they were having. Even my little grandmother was out there dancing!! The only bad thing all night was the weather. It was off and on all night but that didn't stop the staff from taking extra special care of us. The owner even offered to put up the sides of his tent (yes, we did have the tent wedding and i REALLY recommend it, the scenery out there is great)... we chose to leave the sides down but just the fact that he was willing to have his staff come out and put up sides in the middle of a busy night shows a lot about his willingness to work with a couple on their special day. I can't say enough about our experience there. We will recommend them to anyone we know who's looking to get married and have an amazing night for VERY reasonable prices. Thank you again people at the meadows!
