- Internal MedicineHe completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco/ Kaiser Foundation. He completed a residency in Psychiatry at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was elected chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he was also elected chief resident. He received the Laughlin Award from the University of Pennsylvania in 1990 “in recognition of professional achievement, dedication and scholarship” at the University of Pennsylvania.

- Mental HealthDr. Sokoll greatly enjoys teaching as well as clinical work with patients and families. He selects teaching opportunities within the Philadelphia area and focuses on teaching multiple courses within the School of Medicine and residency and fellowship training programs at the University of Pennsylvania. He participates as symposium member or leader in national panels and conferences on mental health and on the practice of medicine.
