Founded in 1989, Advanced Acoustic Concepts, also known as AAC, is a technical company that offers a range of sonar, torpedo defense, training and knowledge management systems. It specializes in the design and development of software products, as well as delivers modernization systems for the U.S. Navy. The company provides product development and transition, logistics data management, program engineering and technology services. It manages Research and Development Group, which works in alliance with government research foundations and private organizations. Advanced Acoustic Concepts works in collaboration with various universities and laboratories, including the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center, Applied Physics Laboratory University of Washington, and Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory.
