Gerlach Companies were founded by Frederick C. Gerlach in 1941 as industrial commercial auction and appraisal companies. Gerlach Companies are the oldest family owned industrial commercial auction & appraisal company in continuous existence in Wisconsin. The officers of the company are David Gerlach, President. Michael Gerlach, David's son, is the Senior Vice President in charge of the machinery and equipment appraisals and a super Auctioneer. Kevin Hough has been with the company for 15 years and assists in all areas of the business. Tom Vilter, our Auction foreman for set up has been with the company for years and is a graduate engineer. Connie Hudziak is the assistant auction foreperson and one of our 5 Auctioneers on staff. Our junior Vice President is Patty Fox has been with the company for 8 years and also is an excellent auctioneer and M&E appraiser. The company specializes in industrial commercial auctions and appraisals of machinery and equipment. Since 1941 Gerlach Companies have done thousands of industrial/commercial auctions and machinery and equipment appraisals in the Midwest. We have sold and appraised businesses in every major industry including machine tools, fabricating, plastics, printing, heavy equipment, retail and more. An important part of our experienced auction and office crew includes Debbie Visintainer, Teena Nash and Lou Hunter who help us not only in the preparation of ASA approved appraisals but also in clerking the many auctions we conduct every year.
