Established in 1996, Quest Diagnostics is a laboratory that offers clinical testing services to patients and clients. It maintains more than 2,000 patient service centers and over 180 rapid response and regional laboratories. With one of its facilities in Hammond, La., the laboratory provides services for anatomic pathology, gene-based, and disease state and disorder testing. Quest Diagnostics conducts cardiovascular disease, HIV, hepatitis and influenza diagnostic tests. It also operates an oncology center that conducts tests on breast, prostate and ovary cancers, as well as thyroid, leukemia and lymphoma. The laboratory additionally offers toxicology and endocrinology testing services. Quest Diagnostics also provides a proprietary courier network to transport samples.
