My date and I went to this restaurant. We were made aware of it by an advertisement/coupon in the mail. We like to try new restaurants and thought we would give it a go.



The food tasted good. The atmosphere was not bad. The waiter was attentive. Things started to go south when I provided the waiter with the 20% coupon. He came back to our table after printing out our bill. It seems the coupon had expired about 5 days prior. I was not aware of it since his competitors coupons all expired at the end of the month and not in the middle of it. The waiter said he could not accept the coupon. I will admit that I was a little miffed since we are in a recession and I had a $100 bill with tip (>20%). But I should have been more observant. I also thought that the management could have been more compromising if they wanted a return visit.



Now the real problem started. When we got home we both had experienced intestinal cramps and had to visit the bathroom. I called the manager and shared with him that he may have a problem with his seafood (as we both got seafood dishes). He was very defensive and exclaimed all our food is fresh! I said I realize that but something did not make it and that I have been in the restaurant business myself for most of my life. I went onto say I was trying to help him and save another customer our experience. He was not accommodating and I got annoyed at his attitude. So, I brought up his coupon policy, the recession, my bill, and he stated it was up to the manager to accept it. When I asked would he have accepted it? He said, "No". That it was not their policy and wait staff had been instructed on this fact. I then told him that we are not getting anywhere and to have a nice day.



There are plenty and I mean plenty of good restaurants in this area. I would not return to this one.
