General Info
Dr. Ajay Kumar did his doctorate in Medicine from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. He did his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia. He is fellowship trained in Interventional Pain Medicine. He is board certified in physical medicine and diplomat of the American Board of Pain Medicine. He was an orthopedic surgeon in India. He has specialized training in doing fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided minimally invasive pain procedures. He is one of the few physicians in New Jersey who has extensive training in doing prolotherapy and platelet-rich plasma therapy (PRP) injections. He works with the patient and offers them various solutions for their problem. He also has extensive experience in doing NCV/EMG studies to diagnose the cause of the pain. He is a member of international spinal injection society and American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

I've been living with the pain from RSD & fibromyalgia for 15+yrs & have seen 3 pain mgmt doctors before coming to Dr Kumar. I felt that I was out of options...then I learned about the spinal cord stimulator & tried it. Now I'm living a better quality life with alot less pain & medication thanks to Dr Kumar. I came to Dr.Kumar after going to Staten Island pain mgt for many years. Dr. Kumar sat with me and listened as I expressed all my health issues and experiences with other physicians. Dr. Kumar actually cares about me and all his patients. He takes to time to listen, gets to know you and will do whatever he needs to do to make you as comfortable and pain free (or at least to control the pain). I am so pleased that he is't a "pill pusher" and only wants to keep you on pills. He listens, cares and works with you to come to a happy satisfied balance.
I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Kumar to anyone looking for a pain management doctor.
Also, I have to mention Dr. Kumars staff.....There are not enough words to explain how wonderful they all are. I have been coming to the office for many years and I have never had one complaint against anyone in his office. Polite, knowledgable, caring are just a few words to describe the entire office staff.
Dr Kumar is the best. I've seen other so called pain experts before him, but none of them can compare to him. Caring,honest,trustworthy,and confident is the best words i can use to describe the Dr.
My story is long, but I can say that before I met Dr. Kumar my life was very difficult dealing with pain and a Spinal Cord Stimulator implant gone bad. Dr. Kumar removed the Spinal Cord Stimulator and a year later implanted a much successful Spinal Cord Stimulator. Today, I enjoy a much better quality of life and it is all thanks to him. Dr. Kumar knows his patients and care for each and everyone of us. I have had a great experience with Dr. Kumar and his staff and recommend him if you are suffering from chronic pain and other ailments related to pain for which you have not found a solution. I love this doctor and honestly say, I thank God for finding him because he has really helped me. Thank you.

Dr. Kumar and the outstanding office staff have gone above and beyond to help improve my quality of life. Dr. Kumar's goal was to better my quality of life.
