The New Jersey Child Support Program provides paternity establishment and cash assistance services. The program also assists in locating absent parents. Its child support services include the collection, distribution and enforcement of child and medical support orders. The New Jersey Child Support Program is administered by the New Jersey Department of Human Services, which provides health care, medical assistance and crisis intervention services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Located in Hackensack, N.J., the department administers the Food Stamp Program, which offers financial assistance services for low-income individuals and families to purchase food. In addition, the New Jersey Department of Human Services provides transportation, emergency assistance and legislative issue handling services to senior citizens.
