I adore Friendly Thai. It's small but the food is excellent! The spring rolls are to die for! I'm going back my next day off. Don't let the size scare you off, it really is a cozy, friendly place! Service is wonderful too.

Provided by YP.comDon't let the small size intimidate you. This restaurant is small, but has some seriously good food and excellent service. The staff is super friendly, especially the main waitress with black hair (who, by the way, is gorgeous! I've always loved asian-looks)
If you're ever in the area, you HAVE to try the food. If you don't like the space, just order takeout! Though, in my opinion, the inside of the building is really warm and inviting. You'll feel at home when you first step in.
Try the dumplings or Crab Rangoons. MMMMM. Soooo gooood. Now I'm hungry!

Provided by YP.comA lot of people don't know about Friendly Thai yet, since it's new (it just opened a few months ago). I love this place. I rated it five stars on another site, too. The food here is delicious, my favorite being the Pad Thai and Tom Yum with shrimp. What I think is brilliant is that they'll make any dish to your preference, you just have to specify.
The service is really friendly, the people here actually seem to care about their customers, unlike Thai Jasmine, a restaurant in New London, where I've had an unpleasant experience at.
Anyways, The building here is fairly small, but cozy. The bathrooms are tiny, which is the only downside, but you can't blame the current owners since they weren't the ones who constructed the building.
Inside the building is very nice. I love the wooden elephants and the circular pillow things. The tablecloths, which have little elephants stitched in them, match the bar stools, which is really cool. This place is also kept very clean.
Overall, this restaurant is a must-go-to if you're in the area. Or, better yet, if you don't want to drive, call for the free delivery. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Provided by YP.comExcellent food at a reasonable price served with a smile. Clean and friendly setting in an unlikley location. Here for a casual lunch, but I'll go out of my way to return soon. This place is worth the drive!
