i have shopped here quite a few times and was very pleased. Everyone I have dealt with there has been helpful and kind.

HORRID RUDE OWNER!! I shop most of the used as well as new bookstores in the Greenville area on a regular basis, and spend more money on books than anything I buy. A friend and I visited As the Page Turns for the FIRST and LAST time today. I asked (what I thought was a sales clerk) the price of a USED paperback with a sticker of $4.75 (New 6.99) on the cover. I assumed with a price that high, it was a sale sticker from a regular new book retailer. She snidely stated the price of 4.75 was the correct price. When I asked "Are you sure? That price seams a little high for a used book", she retorted in a very nasty manner..."Then you better shop someplace else." I didn't know what to say...so I responded, " Ok, I guess I will". Her response was, "Good!" Then she walked out of the room. I went to look for my friend and discovered "the clerk" was the owner. What a shock!! As a retail business owner, I can't imagine EVER treating a customer in such a rude and obnoxious manner. Needless to say, we will NEVER return to this store and will spread the word of her abhorrent behavior to all our friends.
