I recently had my hair braided at Bettys. I received great service and I felt as though everyone took their time to make sure my senegalese twists were to perfection. There was a set price when I called over the phone and they even accommodated their schedule as I was coming from out of town. My only complaint is that my hair is very tight. But Ive been told that is to be expected. So overall I had a positive experience as Bettys and I would get my hair braided here again.

I got my hair done there 3 times and they did an excellent job all three times!!!

I called Betty's at 11:00am on Sunday, August 29, 2010 to have my hair braided. I asked her in our conversation did she braid hair on Sundays, and was she able to braid my hair that day. She said 'yes' and asked me when would I be able to come and I told her 12:30pm. When I arrived at the shop there was no one there to braid my hair, and one of the women told me that her sister was coming and she would be there shortly. I sat for 30 minutes and watched as she called other braiders to come in to do my hair. After waiting 45 minutes, I told her that I was leaving and that she did not need to trouble herself with finding someone. She then asked me to wait a minute while she called the owner. I spoke with the owner and she explained to me how hard it is to find someone to braid on Sundays and that it shouldnt be much longer. I told her, she should have arranged all these foreseen problems prior to my coming and it was unprofessional to have me waiting for no one and I had an appointment. Hence, I walked out the door and I will never go back.

Betty's african braiding salon is not a professional place to go and get your hair done. The tell you one price on the phone, but once you go in and they start on your hair the jack up the price. They fight with their customers in front of other customers. They talk about their clients in their language. I brought my husband, who speaks their language in to give me some more money, after a price increase, and he had to let them know he understood what they were saying and put them in check. The attitude for the owner betty is very nasty and unprofessional. They are very slow workers because they just run their mouthes. I got in at 6pm to get kinky twist and left the shop at 2:30 am in the morning. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.
