Claim Management Services was founded in 1982 as a third-party administrator of self-funded health care plans focused on health care claims administration and utilization management. CMS is widely regarded as an industry leader in timeliness and accuracy of claims paid. CMS currently administers health benefits for over 230 employers and over 250,000 individuals. BlueCard includes more than 850,000 provider nationwide and thousands of providers in 200 countries worldwide. In January 2003, CMS was acquired by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wisconsin.
