      Founded in 1998, the Benefis Healthcare Foundation was formed by the merger of the Montana Gift of Life Foundation and Montana Deaconess Foundation. Its program, the Angel Fund helps children suffering from catastrophic illnesses. The foundation offers scholarships to eligible students for advance health care education and certification. The Benefis Healthcare Foundation s Caring For Our Own program provides assistance to its employees and volunteers who experience emergencies in their lives. The foundation also offers training sessions for family members in patient and respite care. It provides inpatient care for terminally ill patients and their families. The foundation additionally offers bereavement counseling, as well as emotional and spiritual support. The Benefis Healthcare Foundation is located in Great Falls, Mont.
