The Grapevine Police Department offers a range of crime prevention services. Its technical services division is responsible for answering nonemergency phone calls, dispatching police, and entering and confirming warrants. The department also deals in cases related to stolen property and missing individuals. The Grapevine Police Department also handles matters concerning nuisance abatement, lighting and signage. It administers the Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspection programs, which includes education and hands-on assistance with the proper use of child restraint systems and seat belts. The department operates the Citizen's Police Academy. In addition, it manages uniform operations and criminal investigations divisions. It is governed by the City of Grapevine in Texas.
