The first guy came out and blew me out of the water with an estimate of $600. I told the tech that I had the entire garage door replaced for $700. I told him no way. The second tech was very rude and unprofessional. He acted as if I was lucky he was even there to look at my garage door. I just told him to leave. A friend of mine said that he had his spring replaced by Door Express for a reasonable price.

When we bought our 1972 built fixer-up house it had the classic 2-door garage with the center support. How people pulled their big old cars in such a narrow side-to-side space is beyond me. Our garage doors were busted, the rails bent and neither would stay open or really even close all the way. It was on our huge list of to-do's on the house, but as one of the more costly fixes it was further down.

I called Brookes Bros. and he was not only very knowledgable of the style, but also reassuring that he could repair them. On the day of service, he arrived early - much better than waiting around all day for a repair. After working with our problem, he did indeed repair the door. This was in June; I waited a month to write the review to make sure the job held up and it has just as I expected it would.
