Dr. Rieves tends to overdiagnose conditions. I went to her for a painful wrist, and she said she wanted to hospitalize me immediately or MRSA, get an IV put in, etc. --she literally gave me a fifty-fifty chance of dying if I walked out of her office and didn't do what she said. I agreed to go to an orthopedist for second opinion. Turned out all I had was a calcium deposit on my tendon. It was cured with a splint and anti-inflammatory meds. Also, beware during a physical exam when Dr. Rieves asks you "is there anything else you want to talk about?" If you bring up ANYTHING at this point, she charges you extra. I brought up a small thing that had been bothering me, thinking naively this question was part of my physical exam. WRONG! She took a quick look, said there was nothing she could do about it -- and charged me an extra $100! One-hundred-dollars!!! Never told me that's how it works. Tricky!
