      General Info

      Cellist, Roni Lowry, offers the following services: private music lessons (cello, violin, viola, piano, guitar, clarinet, and voice), live performances, weddings, parties, personalized songs, band member/guest artist, music therapy, friendship, and more! Creatives unite! Let's work together to make the world a better place. She has a bachelor of arts in cello performance from Wichita State University and wishes to earn more money in order to further her education by obtaining an equivalency degree in music therapy. Roni is also a member of the Mid-Kansas Newton Symphony and would love to be in the Wichita Symphony, but has to wait due to seniority rather than actual skill. In Wichita, the musicians' union does not function properly and has not been updated in nearly a decade, leaving musicians to fend for themselves or form their own solidarity. Comedians and actors of Wichita have no trouble forming troupes, but for some reason, the older musicians of Wichita have difficulty working with the younger musicians in order to form a properly functioning union. Because of this, musicians like Roni have difficulty obtaining work in the field of music performance. During Roni's freshman year of college, she attended Kansas University and studied under Ed Laut and was the only incoming cellist to receive a scholarship. At Wichita State University, she studied under Leonid Shukaev. During her high school years, she studied under Susan Mayo. All three of these professors have nothing but pleasantries to say about her musical skills and personality.
