The Charles Hovey House, a romantic bed and breakfast villa with a sweeping view of Gloucester Harbor, is the perfect spot for a vacation getaway. Located on Cape Ann, a richly historic area on the North Shore of Massachusetts, the Hovey House bed & breakfast offers travelers beautiful beaches, hiking, biking, birding, whale watching, fishing, boat rides, live music and theatre, shopping, antiquing, fine dining, museums, local fairs and festivals and much more. Three times each summer ( the weekends of St. Peter's Festival, July 4th and Labor Day ) Hovey House guests enjoy the spectacular fireworks over Gloucester Harbor right from the veranda. When there's a chill in the air, unlike some other New England shoreline destinations, Gloucester doesn't roll up the streets. We are a year-round community ; almost all our shops and restaurants stay open for the winter.
