I was under the care of Dr. Bhakta for a few months. I went to him feeling terribly sick. I was throwing up for days prior and could not control my bloos sugars (Diabetic). He had previously changed my insulin that I took with each meal to this new Byetta and it was apparent that it was not working. So by the time I saw him, I was in bad shape. He told me that my sickness could be a stomach problem and wrote me out a prescription, Then he said increase Byetta by 5 and if I still do not feel well, call him next week. Needless to say, I was in such BAD shape, the next morning I wounded up in ICU in Del Webb. I was in a Diabetic Ketoacidosis and he did not even recognize the signs. I was in big trouble by the time I got to emergency. Why did he let me leave under those conditons? I complained about my sugars being frightfully high. This man could have killed me and never responded when the hospital called him. No one called to check on me. Would not recommend him to treat my DOG!!
