- Dental ExaminationAt the end of the visit the patient is still given home trays so that they do at-home periodic “touch-ups.†Obviously the teeth need to be cleaned prior to the procedure, and a dental examination is required to rule out problems that may not be evident.

- Teeth CleaningDoes the thought of an upcoming dental visit fill you with anxiety? Have you ever delayed or avoided tooth cleaning or other routine oral care because of dental fear ? If so, you are not alone, since apprehension about dental care is a fairly common phobia. Estimates put the number of people who have some degree of dental aversion at 28%, and as many as 48% sometimes delay routine visits because of worry at the prospect of discomfort.
- Fluoride TreatmentThe dentist’s office also has several beneficial receding gums treatment to offer. Every six months, you should visit your dentists to receive a fluoride treatment, which will lower the sensitivity of the exposed roots and greatly lessen the risk that decay will take hold. In cases where the roots are extremely tender, an additional procedure is available through high quality dentist’s offices such as ours. This involves coating the root surface with a transparent desensitizing fluid which soaks into the dentin and creates a protective layer atop it. Colored restorative agents are available for extraordinary cases where such a treatment is deemed appropriate. Occasionally even a dental laser can be utilized to seal the root surface!
- Dental SealantsSealants are thin plastic coatings that are applied to the chewing surface of the back teeth to prevent decay. Molars have irregular chewing surfaces with pits and grooves, which tend to trap food and bacterial debris. Sealants flow into these areas to fill them in, thus preventing bacteria and decay from destroying the enamel and exposing the soft, easily damaged dentin. They are often used even by people who brush scrupulously, since deep molar fissures are frequently beyond the reach of toothbrush bristles.
- FillingsApplications for this technique include closing gaps between teeth, lengthening small or worn-down teeth, whitening stained or dark teeth, restoring and protecting a chipped tooth, or replacing old, dangerous silver-mercury amalgam fillings.
- VeneersLumineers by Cerinate are special porcelain veneers that are even better, in many ways, than their ordinary counterparts. Though they share many of the same virtues as the veneers described in Section 10 above, Lumineers have plenty of unique features that make wearing them an even more pleasant experience. With good dental hygiene, Dental Lumineers typically last a minimum of 20 years after their application.

- Dental BondingTooth bonding can be a great way to restore damaged teeth and give you a perfect smile. - Restorative DentistryOther therapies are NTI-TSS appliances (short for nociceptive trigeminal inhibition tension suppression system), orthodontics, or complex restorative dentistry to restore the bite relationships of the jaws.
- Root Canal TreatmentWorn tooth surfaces due to bruxism are prone to decay, as bacteria can easily penetrate the soft dentin as it is exposed by destruction of the enamel. Many of these teeth fracture, especially if silver mercury fillings are present. Some teeth develop root fractures requiring root canals or outright extraction. Gum recession, tooth mobility, damage to the jaw joint (TMJ), and bone loss can also result from this type of wear.
- Deep CleaningThan 4 mm. the bacteria will not be able to be removed by the patient and the gum disease will progress. The dentist or dental hygienist must intervene by anesthetizing the gums and removing the deeper bacterial deposits and calcified deposits with special instruments. Healing is usually very easy and is the first step in controlling advanced periodontal disease.

- Dental ImplantsReplacement of missing teeth is essential to maintaining the structure of the jawbone. That is why a tooth should be replaced swiftly after it is lost. In the absence of a restoration, more of the jawbone disintegrates over time due to lack of use, until it becomes quite difficult to place an implant restoration.
