  The TimeLapse function tracks patients’ progress at each appointment and compares records, helping to illuminate tooth wear and movements over time. It can instantly extrapolate past and present scans into an animated image that displays oral changes. The Invisalign Outcome Simulator chairside application can help patients envision how their teeth may look at the end of the Invisalign process. The simulated result can be emailed directly to the patient and may help to inspire greater enthusiasm about the process.

  These implants can be put in multiple places around the mouth, including the gums and the palate. They are typically placed near the tooth that is being moved and they are placed in the direction of the movement. They are attached with a durable rubber band connecting the implant with the brace on the targeted tooth.

  The iTero scanner uses parallel confocal image technology to capture and deliver interactive color images of teeth. With first-rate laser and optical scanning, it can take a staggering 6,000 pictures per second and provide accurate full arch scans in as quickly as 60 seconds. This device has been used in 17.4 million scans in total – 13.7 million for orthodontics and 3.6 million for bridge, crown, and custom implant abutment.

  For clients with displaced or missing teeth that require more power to shift than braces can provide alone, orthodontists used to need oral surgery or headgear to solve these dental problems. Those days are a thing of the past thanks to Temporary Anchorage Devices, or TADs. These small implants give teeth a power boost and move them in the desired direction and are one treatment we offer at Rollins & Petersen Orthodontics at our five Arizona locations.
• Jaw Surgery
  Our orthodontists can help you determine the cause of your TMJ disorder and recommend the appropriate treatment. Treatment for the TMJ will depend on the cause and severity of your TMJ disorder. TMD treatment may include jaw and facial relaxation exercises, lifestyle changes, restorative dental treatments, a mouth guard or night guard, or jaw surgery.   Since it’s more difficult to thoroughly clean crooked teeth, your risk of tooth decay can increase.
